Job description
BDO Regulatory Solutions are currently recruiting for a Compliance Manager to join our client, an insurance firm, based in London.
We are offering an initial 3 month contract starting ASAP with an excellent day rate, employed via an Umbrella company.
About the role:
Looking for a strong compliance Manager who can help in BAU activities. The business spans multiple jurisdictions — with reinsurance operations in Bermuda, active insurance entities in the UK and Malta, and three additional entities in Gibraltar. As the team works to re‑establish and enhance the overall compliance framework, implement new governance structures, and roll out new software, there is a substantial workload alongside everyday BAU responsibilities.
To support this, the department now requires a hands‑on compliance professional who can focus on day‑to‑day operational activities.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide day‑to‑day BAU support, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of core compliance and governance activities.
Hit the ground running with minimal training, bringing strong hands‑on capability from day one.
Manage and coordinate regulatory correspondence, including tracking requests, supporting timely responses, and liaising effectively with internal stakeholders.
Support the enhancement and development of governance structures, including policies, procedures, frameworks, and escalation processes.
Assist in the establishment of a new Managing General Agent and contribute to the framework for Principal and Appointed Representative arrangements.
Support the automation, streamlining, and harmonisation of internal compliance processes across the group.
Contribute to internal compliance projects and wider strategic initiatives as required.
About you:
Regulator and European exposure (MFSA and FCA)
MGAS (managing governance agent) experience would be beneficially
UK Insurance experience is needed
Additional Information:
Location:
London
Duration: 3 months initially
