The Opportunity
XII Capital is building a next-generation hedge fund of funds and alternatives distribution platform , providing qualified investors access to high-performing managers traditionally restricted to institutional capital.
We are seeking a Founding Executive – Distribution to own, build, and scale our global capital-raising engine from day one.
This is not a salaried sales role.
This is a true ownership opportunity for a senior distribution professional who wants to build a long-term, equity-driven franchise with uncapped upside.
You will define distribution strategy, personally raise capital, secure anchor investors, and scale channels across UK, Europe, Middle East, and select global markets .
Role Mandate
- Primary Objective
Build and scale XII Capital’s global distribution platform, driving AUM growth through HNW, UHNW, family office, and institutional channels.
- Key Responsibilities
- Personally originate and close capital from HNWIs, UHNIs, family offices, and institutional allocators.
- Secure anchor Clients and strategic distribution partners.
- Lead investor presentations, due diligence discussions, DDQs, and IC processes.
- Own AUM targets and revenue outcomes.
- Design and execute a global go-to-market distribution strategy.
- Establish partnerships with private banks, wealth managers, IFAs, MFOs, and institutional allocators.
- Prioritise and validate channels before scaling teams.
Scaling & Team Build (Phase
2)
- Hire and lead regional distribution heads and relationship managers as AUM scales.
- Implement scalable sales processes, CRM systems, and KPI frameworks.
- Build a high-performance, ethics-driven distribution culture.
Internal Leadership
- Act as a core member of the founding leadership team.
- Work closely with CEO, CIO, and Product to shape offering, liquidity terms, and investor positioning.
- Represent XII Capital externally as a senior Director.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 10+ years in alternatives distribution, hedge fund sales, FoHF, private credit, PE, or institutional wealth.
- Demonstrated history of personally raising capital (ideally £50M+ cumulatively).
- Deep relationships with HNWIs, family offices, private banks, or institutional allocators.
- Strong understanding of hedge fund structures, FoHF dynamics, liquidity, and risk.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with early-stage ambiguity and ownership.
- Experience across multiple jurisdictions (UK, EU, Middle East preferred).
- CFA / CAIA / equivalent strongly preferred.
Compensation & Upside
- Meaningful equity ownership as a founding partner (vesting aligned with long-term value creation).
- Performance-linked earnings tied directly to AUM growth .
- Uncapped upside as the platform scales toward £500M+ AUM.
- Opportunity for board-level influence and long-term liquidity via trade sale or IPO.
