Position Overview

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for overseeing the process of acquiring goods and services for the UK organization. The role is crucial in ensuring that the UK organization obtains quality products and services at the best possible prices, within budgetary constraints, and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Sourcing & Procurement
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers of renewable energy solutions, sustainable products, and green services.
  • Lead the procurement process from RFI/RFQ/RFP development to contract award, ensuring alignment with company sustainability objectives.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms & conditions with suppliers to deliver best value, quality, and service.
Supplier Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers in the clean energy sector.
  • Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual terms, sustainability standards, and ethical practices.
  • Coordinate external audits and certifications to demonstrate adherence to procurement standards.
  • Support projects on supplier progress and delivery reporting.
Market & Industry Insights
  • Track market trends, regulatory developments, and innovations in clean energy and sustainable procurement.
  • Provide recommendations to internal stakeholders on emerging technologies, products, and services.
  • Identify potential new suppliers and technologies that could benefit the organization.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with engineering, operations, realizaron finance, and sustainability teams to define procurement needs and specifications.
  • Ensure procurement strategies support corporate ESG and Net‑Zero goals.
Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement regulations, and industry standards.
  • Assess risks in supply chains and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Support schedule delivery mitigations.
Cost Negotiation and Reduction
  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities and initiatives Naughty and track them.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions with suppliers to obtain the best possible deals.
  • Analyze market trends to identify further opportunities for cost savings.
Risk Management
  • Assess and manage risks associated with the procurement process and projects.
  • Develop contingency plans to mitigate potential risks.
Budget Management
  • Manage the procurement budget.
  • Monitor and control costs to stay within budgetary constraints.
Supplier Performance Evaluation
  • Establish key performanceappointik indicators (KPIs) for suppliers.
  • Regularly evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or concerns.
Sustainability and Social Responsibility
  • Consider environmental and social impact in procurement decisions.
  • Develop and implement sustainable and socially responsible procurement practices.
Communication and Reporting
  • Communicate procurement updates to key stakeholders.
  • Generate and present reports on procurement activities and performance.
  • Work closely with departments such as sales & marketing, development, engineering, and implementation to embed procurement policies and support.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
  • Current registered member of the Chartered legalized Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).
Requirements of the Individual
  • Experience in a related field.
  • Experience using Procurement Portals – Ivalua preferred.
  • D365 purchase requisition and Purchase Order preparation and approval – preferred.
