Business Continuity Management Advisor - Capital Markets

Job Description

BCM Lead role: accountable for Business Continuity Management function within RBC business line or region.

• Assess adequacy of analysis of alternative strategies and resource dependencies as pre‑requisite to development of continuity plans and allocation of resources for BCM.
• Provide guidance in creation of standardised plans, testing, incident management processes.
• Manage strategic and tactical activities of business/regional office BCM Advisors including Business Impact Analysis.
• BCP Plan Development, documentation and implementation – identify emerging risk, test, verify gap closure.
• Create BCP/Emergency Response Environment within business line(s).
• Review and identify any instances of undue risk‑taking by business and functional executives in risk identification, tolerance, continuity tasks or testing.
• Assist BCM Advisors in testing of BCM capability across platform/region to increase readiness.
• Partner with Business Line Executives to create, coordinate and maintain multi‑discipline Incident Management Team and provide response capabilities.
• Keep abreast of RBC financial products, services, operational processes, technologies and compliance imperatives as they relate to continuity risk profiles and thresholds.
• Support delivery of Operational Resilience framework to business.
