Who We Are
We are Public Digital, a digital transformation consultancy. We help global institutions that matter thrive in the digital era. We apply the culture, processes, business models and technologies of modern delivery to help teams build and run excellent services. Working with the leaders doing strategy, and the teams doing delivery, we operate globally, advising large organisations and governments on six continents.
We're values-driven and we articulate them in our positions on the Public Digital website. Attitude as much as skill is critically important to us as a team and we look for entrepreneurialism, initiative, kindness, and a willingness to pitch in. We fundamentally believe transformation is about people, and that change comes from creating great teams and the conditions to successfully empower them.
AboutThe Role
We're looking for someone to join our Business Support team, reporting to the Business Support Lead, to help keep Public Digital running smoothly day to day. You'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation and take a practical, service-focused approach to creating a beautifully functioning, welcoming working environment for our people. As our Office Manager you will:
- Help create a beautifully run, welcoming office environment by overseeing our facilities, utilities, equipment, and day-to-day essentials
- Ensure the office runs smoothly and looks professional, responding flexibly to ad hoc tasks that support the wider team
- Build strong working relationships with our landlord, suppliers, and building reception, coordinating repairs, maintenance, and visitor arrivals
- Be a friendly first point of contact for visitors, greeting people warmly, offering refreshments, and helping with onward travel, where needed
- Keep everyday spaces working well by monitoring and reordering kitchen, bathroom, and stationery supplies, and reviewing services and costs
- Support collaboration by managing meeting room bookings, resolving clashes, and arranging external space, when required
- Work closely with the Business Support team to deliver a high-quality, people-centred support service across the business
- Support internal events, ceremonies, and socials, working with the Events Manager and Business Director
- Handle post, courier packages, and requests efficiently, making sure communication is clear and closed off
- Provide cover for time-sensitive tasks during team holidays or sickness and take part in team meetings and occasional offsite workshops
What we're looking for:
- Experience supporting an office, facilities, or operational function, with responsibility for day-to-day coordination and problem-solving
- Experience in assisting with the organisation of company-wide events
- A track record of creating a well-run, welcoming working environment that supports colleagues' needs
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, keeping things organised and running smoothly
- Confidence in handling unexpected or challenging situations calmly and finding practical solutions
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, visitors, and external suppliers
- A proactive approach, spotting issues early and taking ownership to resolve them
- Attention to detail, with care taken to ensure spaces,…
