London | Hybrid | Reporting to Billing Manager
A leading US law firm is seeking an EBilling Assistant to join its London office. Working as part of the Firm Billing team, you will support the delivery of the firm’s e-billing function across multiple jurisdictions. This role consists of ensuring the accurate submission and maintenance of electronically billed invoices in line with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Billing Manager and wider billing team in delivering ebilling services for assigned clients and matters.
- Review client and matter setups to ensure compliance with agreed fee arrangements, rate structures, and outside counsel guidelines.
- Review and summarise outside counsel billing guidelines to ensure requirements are clearly applied.
- Support the submission of accruals, budgets, and status updates to ebilled clients, escalating complex requirements where appropriate.
- Assist with the submission and maintenance of billing rates for ebilled clients, liaising with Billing and Finance teams as needed.
- Monitor ebilled invoices for rejections, adjustments, and appeals, escalating issues promptly to support timely resolution.
- Respond to and monitor the EMEA billing inbox.
- Assist with narrative edits, transfers, and invoice preparation as required.
- Law firm, e‑billing experience is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PDF software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
