Temporary Office Manager - Holiday Cover

We have a fabulous new opportunity for a Temporary Office Manager who enjoys working in a buzzy and social environment with a start‑up feel. Our client is excelling in the AI space and growing rapidly, with multiple offices across the globe and a growing London team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a temporary Office Manager looking to work in the City but outside of a corporate set up. The team are social and fun and the office really reflects their culture with breakout areas, a snack bar and a games area.

We are looking to provide holiday cover for their Office Manager who makes the office space run like clock work. The Office Manager takes full control of the office function whilst also being the first point of call for visitors.

Our client is looking for a Temporary Office Manager who is incredibly proactive, approachable and with an eye for detail. The role will also take on some front of house support so all applicants must enjoy being in a client facing environment.

Prior tech or start‑up experience would be hugely beneficial.
The company also uses Slack for the majority of their communication so any prior experience on this platform would be advantageous.

Duties will include:

  • Meeting and greeting all visitors and clients
  • Managing the meeting rooms and meeting room diary
  • Weekly food and beverage order
  • Coordinating breakfast and lunch deliveries
  • Managing all incoming requests
  • Liaising with the reception desk on the ground floor
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Liaising with maintenance
  • Internal comms

Hours:

8.30am to 5pm

Dress code: business casual

City offices

The successful candidate must really take pride in the office environment and must be solutions driven. Prior office management/front of house experience is crucial for this position and all applicants must be immediately available and open to ad‑hoc support.
