Job Description - Receptionist:
London Physiotherapy & Wellness
We're looking for a friendly and organised Receptionist to join our busy East London physiotherapy clinic. You'll be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive. This role is perfect for someone who is tech-savvy, proactive, has excellent communication skills, and is confident with building rapport.
Responsibilities- Patient Management
- Greeting all patients with a warm and professional demeanor.
- Checking patients in upon arrival, paying special attention to new patients and ensuring they have completed their intake forms.
- Managing the patient flow in the waiting area, handling multiple arrivals efficiently and professionally.
- Assisting with patient forms and answering general inquiries.
- Scheduling and Bookings
- Answering the phone with a professional and helpful attitude, and being able to explain our services and booking process.
- Scheduling patient appointments, both in person, over the phone, and email.
- Proactively asking patients if they'd like to book their next appointment at the end of their session.
- Managing bookings for various appointment types including self-pay and insurance.
- Billing and Payments
- Processing patient payments for self-pay, insurance, and medico-legal cases.
- Taking payments and insurance details over the phone.
- Learning to identify and differentiate between various billing types.
- Clinic Operations
- Opening and closing the clinic, ensuring it's ready for the day and secure at the end of the day.
- Handling all administrative tasks, including logging into the clinic's PC and our practice management software, Cliniko.
- Pool maintenance.
- Towel laundry.
- Taking inventory.
- You're a friendly, professional, and reliable individual.
- You have strong organisational skills and an exceptional eye for detail.
- You're tech-savvy and comfortable learning new software.
- You can manage multiple tasks at once and stay calm under pressure.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior experience in a healthcare or customer-facing role is a plus, but not essential.
