The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail‑oriented Contract Administrator to support the effective management of contractors across the business. This role provides essential administrative support to the Facilities Management team and plays a key part in ensuring contracts, contractor performance, and compliance requirements are effectively managed. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong customer service skills, a professional manner, and the ability to work confidently with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including elected members, local community representatives, partners, and suppliers.
This is a fast‑paced role requiring excellent organisational skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines, and the confidence to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
- Proven experience in a contract administration or similar administrative role
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- A customer‑focused approach and professional communication skills
- The ability to work under pressure and meet short time frames
- Confidence working with contracts, contractor data, and administrative systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with facilities management systems is desirable
- A good understanding of local government operations and political context
- Self‑motivation with the ability to work with minimal supervision
