Healthcare Administration, Medical Receptionist
We are looking for a competent part‑time/full‑time Senior Admin, with a minimum experience of 1 year within NHS GP services (Systm1 user).
You will need to be able to work within a busy team environment but also to use your own initiative and work on your own when necessary.
You will ideally need a good working knowledge of NHS focused software, Systm One. You will be dealing with patients, as well as outside agencies, accessing the service both on the telephone and face to face, therefore you will need to have good communication skills.
Main duties of the job- Assisting reception team
- Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointments system
- Processing telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations, and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional
- Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelines
- Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with practice procedures
- Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team members and associated healthcare agencies and providers
- Providing clerical assistance to practice staff as required from time to time, including word/data processing, filing, photocopying and scanning
- Provision of refreshments for staff and visitors as required and keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy
- Keeping the reception area, notice-boards and leaflet dispensers tidy and free from obstructions and clutter
- Triage at reception
- Scanning and attaching
- Registrations
- Referral processing all types; insurance and private reports
- Actioning and clearing taskgroups
- Monitoring and ordering stock as required.
- Liasing with IT when needed
- Make appointments/text/ coordinate from chronic disease lists
- Booking remote appointments

Person Specification- Systm One trained,
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively,
- Professional appearance and demeanor,
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Essential - Minimum 1 year experience of working in a GP practice.
- Experience of using Systm One or Emis Web
- Basic IT skills:
- MS Office

- MS Teams
- One Drive
