Overview

Client Host (Receptionist) role at Travers Smith, an inclusive employer and a member of my Gwork – the LGBTQ+ business community. This is a full-time role based in London. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for clients and other visitors visiting the firm, supporting the firm’s image, ethos, and high-quality customer service across the three reception desks and the meeting room booking line.

This is a busy and challenging role in a team of 18, and the candidate will need to deliver a professional, welcoming experience while handling a wide variety of tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet and greet clients and visitors, making them comfortable and assisting with belongings and refreshments where appropriate.
  • Announce client/visitor arrival to the meeting host and guide them to the appropriate meeting room.
  • Address client and staff requests and questions, ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Manage meeting room bookings using MRI Software and coordinate with PAs, Business Services, Fee-Earners, Partners, and Clients to maintain clear communication.
  • Assist the Hospitality team with room setup when required.
  • Maintain and adhere to Health and Safety and Security policies and standards in the work area.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
  • Experience in front and back-office processes with strong administration skills preferred.
  • PC literacy and ability to manage daily activities using various systems, including the internet and e-mail.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; active listening and a strong customer service focus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of client staff and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated client relationship skills, able to interact with external clients by phone and face-to-face.

Working patterns
  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday with the following shift patterns: 8:00am – 4:00pm, 9:00am – 5:00pm, 10:00am – 6:00pm, 11:00am – 7:00pm.
