Business Administration Assistant
Salary: £28,460
Location:
London (SW16)
Working pattern:
Office-based (shift rotates each week: 8:30 - 4:30, 9:30 – 5:30)
We are working with a highly regarded Legal 500 law firm to recruit a Business Administration Assistant for their Streatham office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal or Professional Services Administrator to join a successful, multi-office practice renowned for its commitment to client care and operational excellence.
This role will be based on the reception desk and sits at the heart of the firm’s administrative function, providing a professional first point of contact for clients and visitors. You will also support Solicitors, Team Assistants, and the Document Production team, ensuring files, documentation, and office facilities are managed efficiently and professionally.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing file opening, closing, and archiving procedures
* Scanning, copying, filing, and general document management
* Acting as the main point of contact at reception, welcoming clients and visitors
* Supporting meeting room set-up and coordinating refreshments
* Ensuring office areas are tidy, well-presented, and organised
* Processing administrative requests promptly and accurately
* Conducting anti-money laundering checks for new clients
The successful candidate will have:
* Previous experience in a legal or professional services administrative role
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Confidence using Microsoft 365 applications
* A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach
* Strong communication, literacy, and numeracy skills
* A professional presentation and a client-focused mindset
