Fine Art Shipping and Accounting Assistant

London-based Fine Art Auction House is looking for a bright, hard-working and responsible professional to join its Shipping Department and Accounting departments. Knowledge of accounting to AAT Level 2 or equivalent is preferred; experience with shipping processes is desirable.

In the Shipping Department, you will handle customer requests for the delivery and collection of artwork, verify and produce import/export related documentation, maintain a daily shipping schedule, prepare quarterly Import VAT reports and perform any other duties specific to this department. You will also assist the accounting department during the busy auction period with KYC and client registration.

The right candidate will have to be educated to at least a BA level, have strong MS Office skills, and be able to work in Excel on an advanced level. In addition, candidates will be required to have a high level of written and spoken English. Knowledge of Russian, as well as prior experience within the Auction/Gallery business is an advantage, but not necessary.

Introductory training on a specific aspect of the auction business will be provided on the job.

£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
