Trust Accountant; Senior or Manager

Trust Accountant (Senior or Manager) Preston £38,000 - £50,000 Butler Rose are pleased to be recruiting for a long-established and highly regarded independent accountancy practice for a Trust Accountant role based in Preston, the firm are open to someone either at senior level or manager level. This role can be either full time or part time. This role sits within a specialist private client team and offers the opportunity to work with a varied portfolio of trusts and estates, supporting high-net-worth individuals, families and professional trustees.

It would suit an accountant with existing trust experience, or someone from a practice background looking to specialise further within private client and trust work. Duties Preparation of trust accounts and estate accounts Preparation of trust and estate tax returns Inheritance tax returns, including IHT
100 and IHT
400 Maintaining trust accounting records and monitoring trust transactions Liaising with trustees, beneficiaries, solicitors and other professional advisers Assisting with estate administration and trust distributions Monitoring deadlines to ensure all compliance obligations are met What we're looking for Experience working with trusts, estates, or private client tax within an accountancy practice ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience Experience preparing trust accounts and trust tax returns Good understanding of trust taxation and inheritance tax matters Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines Good communication skills and ability to work with clients and professional advisers Benefits Competitive salary depending on experience Flexible on start and finish times Full time or part time role Opportunity to develop specialist expertise in trust and estate work Ongoing professional development and training Exposure to a varied and interesting private client portfolio If you're an experienced Trust Accountant or practice accountant with trust experience looking to specialise further within private client and trust work, we'd love to hear from you.
