Salary: £65,000 - £78,000

A leading and fast-growing Top 20 accountancy firm is looking to recruit an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager for its London office. This is a superb opportunity for a qualified and commercially minded accountant to join a dynamic, client‑focused firm working with a broad portfolio of SME clients across multiple sectors

The role offers a genuine split across audit, accounts and tax
, providing variety, client ownership and the chance to develop as a well‑rounded adviser rather than specialising in a single service line.

• Lead and deliver audit/assurance engagements for a portfolio of SME clients
• Oversee the preparation and review of statutory accounts for limited companies and groups
• Provide corporation tax oversight, including review of computations and liaison with internal tax specialists
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, building trusted adviser relationships
• Manage, supervise and develop audit and accounts teams, ensuring high‑quality delivery and compliance
• Review working papers and ensure audits are completed in line with UK auditing standards
• Support Partners and Senior Managers on technical matters and larger or more complex clients
• Identify opportunities to provide additional audit, accounts or tax services
• Contribute to internal quality control, technical standards and audit file reviews

• ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified with several years' post‑qualification experience
• Previous experience as an Audit Manager or Assistant Manager within a UK accountancy practice
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, IFRS and ISAs
• Well‑rounded exposure across audit, statutory accounts and corporation tax
• Knowledge of trusts or charities would be advantageous but not essential
• Confident communicator with strong client‑facing and relationship‑management skills
• Proven ability to manage assignments from planning through to completion
• Experience with software such as CCH, Audit Automation, Inflo, SAP, Xero, Sage or Quick Books is beneficial
• Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
