Management Accountant

Management Accountant | £45K | Southend – Modern Accountancy Firm A unique opportunity has arisen with a Chartered Accountants in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, who are looking for a finalist or newly qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant to progress to Management Accountant. There will be no tax or year-end accountancy compliance in this role, you will be focused on real time information and helping produce management reports by building strong client relationships with various business owners.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team where you will strengthen your technical accounting skills while developing leadership, communication, and commercial awareness. You will work closely with senior team members and play a key role in supporting both clients and colleagues in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the Team Leader with the day-to-day management of the client portfolio Arranging and attending client meetings (both via Teams and in person) Managing and developing junior staff, including work allocation, review, and ad hoc training Assisting with business development activities Liaising with the Team Leader to help shape and implement team strategy Supporting the preparation and review of management accounts and statutory filings Assisting in the development and implementation of best practice processes and procedures Contributing to the development of the team's technology and automation strategy Identifying opportunities to enhance client services and increase commercial value Benefits will include free parking, 25 days leave, very flexible working pattern and hybrid working arrangements, team rewards for hitting monthly targets, expert in-house training, matched pension top ups, enhanced parental pay/leave and more!
