Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Maintain accurate, compliant accounting records across property portfolios, including year-end accounts, cost reallocations, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare profit & loss accounts, balance sheets, statutory accounts, and other financial reports for internal stakeholders, boards, and external auditors.
  • Lead and manage audits, liaising with external auditors, approving draft accounts, and supporting the filing of statutory accounts.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage creditors, and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance reporting.
  • Manage service charge accounting, including surplus/deficit reconciliations, tenant charges, demands, and ad hoc costs.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to colleagues, and assist property managers with financial queries and projects.
  • Maintain and optimise accounting systems (Propman desirable) and advanced Excel tools for reporting and analysis.
  • Operate independently within a property management environment, applying strong knowledge of service charge and property accounting principles.
Previous Experience Will Include
  • Recognised accounting qualification or part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, AAT) or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in an accounting role within the property sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
  • Strong IT and numeracy skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience using accounting systems; familiarity with Propman is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and prepare complex reports and plans, including financial reporting, budgeting, works scheduling, workload allocation, and performance planning.
