Sheridan Maine is partnering with a well‑established and respected accountancy practice in London to recruit an Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy, professional team, working with a varied client portfolio and developing your career within a supportive environment.

The Accountant will manage a portfolio of clients, prepare financial statements, and support audits and compliance. This hands‑on role offers exposure to a range of accounting tasks and the opportunity to work closely with senior colleagues.

• Preparing and consolidating financial statements in line with statutory requirements.
• Producing monthly and year‑end management accounts and reports.
• Preparing journals and supporting audit schedules.
• Liaising with clients and external auditors as required.
• Keeping up to date with accounting standards and implementing reporting changes.
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad‑hoc projects and tasks.

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified or part‑qualified.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and statutory reporting.
• Experience preparing financial statements and supporting audits.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software.
