Senior Accountant

An established and forward-thinking accountancy practice in Sheffield is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone confident in accounts preparation, client management and mentoring junior staff, who is looking for a supportive environment with genuine progression opportunities. Role Responsibilities Managing a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors Preparing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships Reviewing accounts, tax returns and work completed by junior staff Providing proactive advice to clients on accounting, tax and financial matters Overseeing bookkeeping, VAT and management accounts assignments where required Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and firm procedures Supporting and developing trainees and part-qualified staff Building strong, long-standing client relationships What We’re Looking For Fully qualified ACA/ACCA (or QBE with strong practice experience) Solid background in an accountancy practice environment Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and practice-based accounting Excellent communication and client management skills Ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines and work independently Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members Benefits and Rewards This practice offers an impressive package designed to support your professional growth, wellbeing and work-life balance:
