Group Financial Accountant

A large, well-established UK organisation is seeking an experienced Group Financial Accountant to join its External Reporting team on an interim basis. You will be central to the delivery of high-quality statutory reporting and the shaping of technical accounting guidance across the wider Group. • Leading the preparation of Group consolidated financial statements for the half-year and year-end cycle
• Overseeing the production of subsidiary and regulated entity financial statements
• Maintaining and developing Group accounting policies
• Building strong working relationships with senior leaders, functional teams and external auditors
• Co-ordinating the external audit process as the main point of contact
• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes across the Group

• ACA qualified or equivalent
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS
• Experience managing audits end-to-end
• Experience from a Big 4 accounting firm is highly beneficial
• A background working within a blue-chip organisation is also desirable
