Sales Ledger Clerk / Credit Controller
Location:
Central London (4 days office, 1 day remote)
Salary:
Up to £35,000 per annum (position negative to max £37k)

Key Responsibilities- Generate large volumes of sales invoices (approx 100‑250 weekly) ensuring accuracy and minimal queries.
- Manage the sales ledger, reconcile received payments, maintain account accuracy.
- Support Accounts Payable/Purchase Ledger functions as needed.
- Liaise with other departments to resolve discrepancies or invoicing delays.
- Provide support during month‑end and year‑end closing.
- Proactively chase overdue payments via phone/email; monitor customer accounts to ensure payments within agreed terms.
- Maintain the debtor spreadsheet to support cash‑flow forecasting.
- Escalate doubtful debts to senior management for action.
- Prepare regular AR reports on invoicing, cash collection, and aged debtors.
- Experience in accounts assistant, finance assistant, assistant accountant, purchase ledger, accounts receivable, or similar roles.
- Strong experience with Sales Ledger / Accounts Receivable, ideally handling similar volumes.
- Proven ability to produce sales invoices accurately and resolve queries.
- Experience using MS Office and accounting systems such as Sage, Xero, or Quick Books.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
