About the roleAs bookkeeper/accounts assistant to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for general bookkeeping and a variety of day‑to‑day accounting tasks. You will have bookkeeper experience, be proficient using Sage and be full or part qualified – AAT or ACCA.
- General bookkeeping (accounts payable/accounts receivable/prepayments/accruals)
- Recording all financial transactions on Sage 50 accounting software
- Raising payment of approved invoices by BACS
- Raising invoices as required and directed by the financial controller
- Preparing ad‑hoc financial reporting
- Holiday cover for team members, assisting with required tasks
- Assisting the Financial controller with designated tasks including general administration tasks
- Assisting with the preparing of annual accounts for different jurisdictions
- Managing filing of documents efficiently both on the system and manually
- Assisting with technology changes to drive automation and the use of AI.
- Possess a minimum of 3 years bookkeeping experience
- German or Dutch language skills advantageous.
- Be experienced in international accounting ideally including the US and The Netherlands
- International Bookkeeping in different currencies would be advantageous
- Be full or part qualified AAT or ACCA
- Be highly skilled in using Excel spreadsheets
- Have high levels of integrity and dependability
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel).
- Ability to balance and own workload.
- Flexible and self‑motivated with the energy and drive to deliver in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with automation and AI would be highly advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail and works with precision.
- Effective project manager, able to manage workload.
