About the position:
As a Maintenance Technician at Madison Health, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of electrical, plumbing, equipment and general building maintenance and repair functions related to the care and maintenance of Madison Health. This position will be scheduled Monday - Friday 6:30AM to 3PM with evening and weekend on-call requirements.
Key job qualities/duties:
- Checks work order box daily for work orders; prioritize orders by time and importance; complete orders as prioritized
- Paints interior and exterior walls and cabinets; patches drywall; hangs wallpaper and pictures; installs floor and ceiling tiles; assembles furniture; moves furniture and other office equipment.
- Performs electrical repairs. Repairs or replaces motors and controls; installs new electrical equipment.
- Performs plumbing repairs. Replaces washers; faucets and seals on malfunctioning plumbing equipment; repairs leaky faucets and cleans clogged drains.
- Maintains efficient function of the boiler. Completes boiler blow downs and tear down for annual inspection.
- Performs outdoor maintenance. Patches blacktop cracks and holes; sweeps parking lot with commercial sweeper; removes snow using shovel or plow.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Three years of general building maintenance experience preferred. Experience in electronics, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems required. Certification in Electrical, Plumbing or HVAC strongly preferred.
