RIOS was founded in 1985 as a multidisciplinary design firm. Today the firm has offices in Los Angeles, Singapore, Shanghai, London, Austin, and Boulder with over 250 team members contributing to transformative projects globally.
We are seeking a Senior Project Designer to assist and develop appropriate design solutions on multiple projects. Interested applicants must have a strong design aesthetic, enjoy creating beautiful work and be able to work collaboratively and independently.
The ideal candidate must possess the following skills:

- Evolves the design process as an integral extension of our goals as a practice, and helps develop the support structure to ensure that the vision be forward-thinking, equitable and inspired.
- Leads design from Concept Brief to the development of responsive, real-world projects that connect evolving project demands with design vision and north-star innovation objectives.
- Guides team to drive exemplary design and innovation, aligning ideation with project design concept and goals. Pushes for critical thinking and problem solving for the best possible design outcomes.
- Mentors team on representation to best communicate design vision.
- Demonstrates exemplary presentation skills with broader teams and clients around the execution and presentation of design ideas.
- Guides, mentors & maintains project milestones and deliverables in a timely manner throughout the life of the project.
- Clearly & succinctly communicates with broad teams and clients around the execution and presentation of design ideas.
- Mentors teams throughout all phases to reach their potential, ensuring the best possible skills, knowledge and training.
- Demonstrates command of project leadership from concept to completion with the support of technical and design lead input. Advances due diligence, construction and material innovation, quality control and successful integration of new technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5-8+ years of professional experience
- Bachelor of Architecture degree or Master's of Architecture degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience with Autocad, Rhino, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and REVIT
- Hand-drawing and residential experience preferred
