Class A CDL Driver

The City of London is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our Public Works Department as a full-time Sanitation Driver. This vital role is responsible for operating a commercial vehicle to collect and transport waste, playing a key part in maintaining the health and cleanliness of our community. The ideal candidate is a safety-conscious professional committed to teamwork and excellent service.

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle along designated routes in accordance with all local, state, and federal traffic laws.
• Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is operating properly.
• Work effectively with crew members to ensure efficient and timely collection.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and city policies.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Effectively communicate with supervisors and team members.

• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Must have a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, which may include lifting, bending, and sitting for extended periods.
