Bringing Home the Dough

The Fryer Operator prepares the dough by mixing ingredients according to the supervisor's instructions and records the dough mix confirmations in the SAP computer program. In addition, the Fryer Operator operates the fryer and oversees the quality of product during the frying process. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality, and quality.

Rising to the Challenge:
Position Responsibilities

• Mixing Dough:
  Lift seven (7) bags of ingredient from pallet leveler and load onto a 36 inch high lift table, then move to the mixing bowl, operate the Dandy Lift table to the mixing bowl height, open and empty ingredients into the mixer, and record dough mix confirmations in SAP. Prepare 15 - 20 doughs per eight (8) hour shift.
• After dough is mixed, pull the mixing bowl to the automatic lift, tilt to release dough into the fryer dough hopper, climb stairs, and rake remaining dough into the hopper.
• Operating Fryer:
  Monitor and maintain fryer temperature and efficiency to ensure donuts are fried properly; operate control panel for fryer.
• Demonstrated ability to perform routine production tasks in accordance with applicable standards as directed by supervisor or person in charge.
• Ensure compliance with internal food safety and quality policies and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and comply with company policies including safety and work rules.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervision and ensure compliance with all company policies (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
• Fulfill work schedules, attendance policies, and other operating rules, policies and procedures as deemed integral by management.
