Mobile App Developer – iQueTM

Overview

General Function:
Reporting to the Vice President of Product Development, and joining our Product Development team, the incumbent will hold an integral role in creating a next-generation mobile experience for our iQue intelligent grilling system. This role will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining a seamless mobile application that connects users with our smart grilling technology—delivering precision, convenience, and an elevated outdoor cooking experience.

• Ensure that all future business plans comply with safety standards established for the appropriate jurisdictions.

• Ensure that all departmental personnel comply with Onward’s ISO 9000 Quality Management System requirements.
• App Development:
  Design, develop, maintain, and improve the company’s current mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms that integrate with iQue intelligent grilling systems.
• Seamless Integration:
  Develop and coordinate a cohesive user experience between the company’s mobile app and website, ensuring design consistency, performance harmony, and shared functionality.

  Champion best practices for user interface design, accessibility, and responsiveness to create an intuitive and engaging app experience.
• 3rd Party Development / Releases:
  Manage the Apple Developer and Google Play Console accounts for the organization. Manage access, updates, terms agreements and required upkeep for App Store Connect, Test Flight, Play Console and beta software testing, enabling and monitoring app distribution, including reviews and app status.
• Analytics and Reporting:
  Track app performance, related in-app sales, user engagement, retention, crash reports, etc. to provide monthly reports to management team.
• Front-End Leadership:
  Lead the design and optimization of the mobile app’s front-end interface to deliver a modern, responsive, and user-friendly experience. Collaborate with in-house marketing and graphics team to acquire up-to-date assets.
• Back-End Management:
  Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance the back-end infrastructure of the mobile app to ensure stability, scalability, and security.
• Connected Product Development:
  Collaborate within the connected product portfolio to integrate new features, provisions, and updates directly into the mobile app, ensuring real-time synchronization across digital platforms.
• Feature Implementation:
  Translate product requirements into technical solutions, implementing new features, performance improvements, and UI/UX enhancements.
• Quality Assurance:
  Conduct code reviews, debugging, and testing to maintain high standards of performance, security, and reliability.
• B2C Focus:
  Build and optimize mobile app functionalities that enhance customer engagement, streamline navigation, and promote seamless interactions between users and the company’s products and services.
• Documentation:
  Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for code, APIs, and development processes.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Regularly assess app performance metrics, user feedback, and emerging technologies to recommend and implement ongoing improvements.

• Skilled in Swift and Kotlin (plus Objective-C or Java) using iOS and Android SDKs, including Swift
  
  UI and Jetpack Compose.
