Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Flex‑N‑Gate, a leading manufacturer in automotive electrification, invites applications for the Electrician role at Vari‑Form Manufacturing Inc., a Flex‑N‑Gate company.
Vari‑Form is the world leader in hydro forming manufacturing, delivering lightweight, environmentally friendly, low‑cost alternatives to traditional stamped and welded components. The position will join our maintenance team, responsible for effective troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of plant processes through automation and the newest technology.
Responsibilities- Two‑week rotation – days, nights, afternoons.
- Install, repair, and maintain various electrical systems and equipment.
- Program and maintain PLCs, ensuring programming meets production operational requirements.
- Replace defective wiring and make connections for new electrical installations.
- Actively participate in team quality goals and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Support launches and production demands as required, including overtime.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- $44.02/h, plus afternoon and midnight shift premium.
- $49.02/h – Dual Trade (millwright, electrician and/or tool & die maker).

- Certificate of Qualification in Industrial/Construction Electrician recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
- 3–5 years of experience in an automotive environment.
- Proficiency in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic components such as motors, switches, drives, PLCs, robots, and sensors.
- Knowledge of current electrical codes, hydraulics, robotics, pneumatics, and welding.
- Familiarity with computerized preventative maintenance systems.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
