We’re looking for senior CFAA technicians to perform installation, maintenance, and inspection of fire alarm and security systems across the U.S. and Canada. Our certified technicians deliver code‑compliant solutions and receive continuous training on the latest technologies and regulations.
We are military friendly! FSP accepts technical certification credit for relevant military experience.
Job DescriptionAs a Senior CFAA Technician, you will learn and perform the full extent of services a CFAA offers: fire alarm and security installation, service, and inspection. You will support our clients through the design, installation, and maintenance of fire and security systems.
Responsibilities- Test, inspect, verify, and service fire alarm systems and devices.
- Work at all experience levels in fire alarm and security installation, service, and inspection.
- Inspect installation sites, study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine material requirements and installation procedures.
- Demonstrate systems to customers and explain details such as causes and consequences of false alarms.
- Test and repair circuits and sensors according to wiring and system specifications.
- Follow local and national security standards.
- CFAA license, Level 3 or 4 preferred.
- Good standing with UA Local 853 or willingness to become a member.
- Ability and desire to learn all facets of the CFAA Technician role in fire alarm and security.
- Prior experience with monitoring systems, emergency lighting systems, and security systems preferred.
- Experience with Siemens and/or Mircom ESD preferred.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Customer‑oriented mindset.
- Ability to work within the designated territory and surrounding areas.
- Ability to work in unusual and difficult positions (climbing ladders, scaffolding, high‑lift equipment, ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings), stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 35 lbs, and handle typical CFAA Technician tasks.
