Certified Technician

Emcon Services Inc.is a proud Canadian based company with over 30 years of success as an interprovincial road and bridge maintenance contractor. We currently have an opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join our mechanical team as 310S and/or 310K certified technician for our London / Chatham contract areas.

Our 310S/310K technicians’ responsibilities include but are not limited to repairing and maintaining our AVL GPS / AMDCS Systems (Lynxfield) in heavy and light duty equipment, troubleshooting/diagnosing AVL GPS faults, sign board repairs, sign trailer repairs, in-cab electronic repairs, other mechanical failures, etc. Duties will also include the installation / replacement of the AVL GPS hardware as needed.

This position is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all vehicle electronics and to assist in the repairs and maintenance of the fleet by executing expertise in the servicing and repairing of our highway maintenance fleet and complying with provincial requirements.

• Licensed Automotive Service Technician (310S and/or 310K);
• Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence;
• Preferably Grade 12 education (diploma);
• Knowledge and experience in Preventative Maintenance Programs;
• Good knowledge of trade related worksite safety;
• Proven work experience on industry related AVL GPS or AMDCS Hardware, heavy-duty equipment such as gravel trucks, plow trucks, winter maintenance attachments, loaders, grader, sweepers, pick up trucks, mowers, backhoes, and small engines, etc.
