Hamilton, Ohio. Service area may extend to travel within a 3‑hour radius or beyond to sites such as Green Bay, WI and South Bend, IN.

Monday – Friday 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Starting at $25.00–$35.00 per hour, plus a $3,000 sign‑on bonus.

The Field Service Technician for Ingersoll Rand’s Compression Systems and Services Division will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all makes of rotary screw and reciprocating and/or Centac and ECC air compressors, along with additional compressed air system components. Use precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting and maintain knowledge of all operations and parts manuals.

• Perform preventive maintenance on Ingersoll Rand compressed air equipment.
• Interact with customers to address existing and unanticipated equipment concerns.
• Collaborate with the Service Coordinator on ordering and gathering parts and supplies needed for installations and repairs.
• Assist and train apprentices and field service technicians.
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with customers and co‑workers.
• Provide technical assistance on equipment pre‑commissioning and start‑ups, installations, and repairs of compressed air systems.
• Increase customer awareness of Ingersoll Rand products, services, and solutions such as preventative maintenance, diagnostics, audits and leak detection.

• 2+ years experience troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months, no major traffic violations in the past 5 years.
• Ready to be on-call; first 90 days no on‑call. On‑call weeks may occur every 4 weeks or more.
• Highly physical role requiring manual handling, stooping, kneeling, lifting within safety limits.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment.
• Advanced network systems installations (IMMC/ASC, X Series Automation).
• Basic vibration troubleshooting.
• Basic air quality system knowledge.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computer.
• Maintain cost‑efficient business travel practices.

• Industrial air compressor maintenance knowledge.
• EPA certification.
• Veterans/Active‑Duty Military encouraged to apply.

• Daily travel within 3‑hour radius of service area.
• Company vehicle and fuel card provided.
