Description:Hino Motors Canada is an industrial manufacturing and assembly facility supporting large-scale production, warehousing, and distribution operations. With continuous movement of employees, contractors, vendors, and transport trucks, the facility requires structured access control, adherence to strict safety standards, and coordinated site operations to ensure safe and efficient manufacturing processes.
Status: Temporary Full Time
Position: Security Guard
Site: Hino Motors Canada
Hours: Friday - Sunday (6PM to 6AM)
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and control access to the facility, including employees, contractors, and commercial vehiclesConduct proactive interior and exterior patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and perimeter fencingEnsure all security systems and safety measures are functioning properlyRespond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies in a timely and professional mannerAssist employees and visitors during emergencies and contact appropriate emergency services when requiredDe-escalate conflicts and liaise with police, fire, and paramedic services as neededMonitor shipping and receiving activity, including truck check-ins and documentation verificationDocument incidents, policy breaches, and facility concerns accurately and thoroughlyProvide First Aid and medical response when requiredMaintain professional and constructive relationships with client representatives, staff, and external partnersPrerequisites:
Valid Security Guard License for the province of OntarioValid First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved providerEnglish fluency (oral and written) is requiredMust wear 6-inch all-leather safety boots with ankle coverageLegally authorized to work in CanadaApplicants who do not possess Use of Force (UOF) / Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification may opt into Paladin’s certification program prior to onboarding to meet position requirements.
Please note: The UOF/MOAB certification is a pre-employment requirement and is unpaid; however, Paladin will cover the full cost of certification with a six-month commitment to the position and availability
