Job DescriptionJob Title: Security Guard – Day Shifts
Job Location: London, ON
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour
Shifts: Monday to Thursday, 08:30 – 18:30
- Familiarity with access control systems and alarms.
- Experience with report writing and note‑taking.
- Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
- Valid Ontario security guard license.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada for 40 hours per week.
- First Aid and CPR – Level
C. - Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent (or equivalent work experience).
- Access control for the facility/area.
- Present a polished, professional, customer‑friendly image at all times.
- Manage conflicts and incidents and de‑escalate.
- Patrol and follow protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols.
- Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site emergencies.
- Undertake site‑specific training and follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager.
- Demonstrate good judgment, common sense, and decision‑making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.
- Meticulous record‑keeping, report writing, observation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Operate/monitor security room equipment including but not limited to computers, CCTV cameras, radio, etc.
- Perform in‑car/vehicle patrols.
