Position: Full‑Time Tactical Security Guard
Site: Canada Life
Site Address: 255 Dufferin Ave, London, ON N6A 4K1
Shifts: Monday–Friday (Rotating: 06:00‑14:00, 08:00‑16:00 & 10:00‑18:00)
Payrate: $22.00/hour
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement – calculating after 88 hours bi‑weekly

Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and physically capable Tactical Security Guard to join our frontline team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, tenants, and visitors at Canada Life London. The role involves proactive foot patrols, rapid response to incidents, and maintaining a strong security posture at the facility. The ideal candidate will have advanced defensive tactics training, excellent situational awareness, and the ability to de‑escalate high‑risk situations while maintaining professionalism.
Personal cell phone use while on duty is strictly prohibited.
Qualifications- Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Valid First Aid & CPR level C certificate with willingness to obtain Advanced First Aid through recognized providers.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in tactical or high‑risk security roles; 5 + years preferred.
- Military, law‑enforcement, or corrections background is an asset.
- Certification in Use of Force / Defensive Tactics (e.g., PPCT, MOAB, or equivalent).
- Excellent command of English for client communication, report writing, and conflict resolution.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer‑first mindset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods (8–12 hours per shift).
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and perform defensive tactics and physical restraint procedures.
- Occasional sprinting or rapid movement during emergency response.
- Able to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write clear, concise, and legible reports.
- Patrol assigned area on foot, to ensure personnel, building and equipment security.

Certification Requirements (All)- Valid Ontario Security License.
- Valid Certification in First Aid, CPR and AED.
- Police Foundation Diploma.
