Working on assigned shifts, you will provide proactive and reactive security patrols and respond to incidents. You will write reports, investigate routine incidents and respond to coded emergencies quickly and efficiently. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance are required. In this role, it is essential that you are physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.

  Monday‑Friday (1500‑2300 hours)
• Pay Rate: $18.54/hour
• Overtime Method:
  Employment Standards Act – calculating after 88 hours bi‑weekly

• Patrol the mall's ground floor during high‑traffic periods, especially during high school lunch breaks.
• Monitor student behavior and address rowdy or inappropriate conduct.
• Enforce the mall's Code of Conduct and Trespass to Property Act (TPA), asking individuals to leave when necessary.
• Respond quickly to incidents and calls for service.
• Maintain clear communication with the team and complete detailed incident reports.
• Use and manage security equipment such as radios, keys, and CCTV.

• Valid Ontario Security Licence
• Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
• Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacy
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
• Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
• Please be aware:
  The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre‑requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6‑month commitment to the position/availability.
