Applied provides engineering, design and systems integration for industrial, fluid power, and flow‑control applications, as well as customized mechanical, fabricated rubber, fluid power, and flow‑control shop services.

Applied Industrial Technologies is currently seeking a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Customer Service Representative at our London, ON location.

In this role, you will provide customers with expert assistance to a wide variety of questions and problems. Unlike most CSR roles, you will build ongoing business relationships with customers through repeated contact and consultation. Because this is a service and parts center, our ability to get customers’ business depends on your ability to quickly and efficiently provide them with the right parts and/or solutions—especially when customers are experiencing costly equipment breakdowns.

Occasional hands‑on duties requiring mechanical aptitude may also be required.

Responsibilities
  • Inside Sales responsibilities
  • Directly engaged in all sales activities
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s service offerings
  • Prospect for new customers and demonstrate product benefits
  • Build ongoing relationships with customers
  • Respond to customer product inquiries both in person (branch) and via phone/email
  • Provide support to the outside sales force
  • Ensure accurate, timely order processing through the computerized order‑processing system
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4 or more years of Industrial or Fluid Power components sales experience
  • Self‑motivated
  • Enthusiastic and exhibits a positive attitude and desire to succeed
  • Interest in customer satisfaction and desire to provide excellent service always
  • Ability to multitask in a busy office environment while maintaining professionalism at all times
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Analytical and problem‑solving capability
  • Computer literacy with focus on Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
  • SAP experience would be an asset
