Job Summary
Tim Hortons is seeking a highly motivated and people-focused Designated Trainer – Employee Coaching & Development to support the growth, performance, and engagement of our restaurant teams. This role is critical in ensuring new hires and existing team members receive consistent, high-quality training aligned with Tim Hortons brand standards, operational excellence, and guest service culture. The Designated Trainer will act as a role model on the floor, coaching employees, reinforcing best practices, and fostering a positive learning environment that drives individual and team success.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver structured onboarding and ongoing training programs for new and existing employees
- Coach team members on customer service standards, food safety, operational procedures, and product knowledge
- Demonstrate best practices by actively working alongside team members during shifts
- Assess training needs and track employee progress, providing constructive feedback and support
- Reinforce Tim Hortons brand values, service culture, and performance expectations
- Collaborate with restaurant management to ensure training aligns with business goals
- Support cross-training initiatives to build a versatile and capable workforce
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for coaching, mentoring, and employee development
- Ability to motivate and inspire team members
- Solid understanding of quick-service restaurant operations
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to adapt training methods to different learning styles
- Previous experience in a quick-service restaurant, hospitality, retail, or customer service environment preferred
- Prior experience as a trainer, team lead, or mentor is an advantage
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments
- Flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Full-time or part-time opportunities may be available based on restaurant needs
