Pay Range: CA $38.95/hr – CA $39.35/hr.
Posting Dates: January 9, 2026 to January 15, 2026.
Contract Dates: February 9, 2026 to June 30, 2026 (may end sooner or be extended).

WhatYou Will Be Doing
The RPN is responsible for establishing therapeutic relationships with patients and families through application of specialized knowledge, skill and judgement, both in assessing needs and in planning, implementing and evaluating patient care.
What You Must Have- Registered Practical Nurse, currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- RPN certificate or education and experience that allows practice at full scope.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Proven assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation skills related to acute medical nursing with ability to work independently and use critical thinking.
- Basic computer skills (Outlook email, Cerner, Electronic Patient Record).
- Capability to administer medication inclusive of IV medication under a physician’s order.
- Ability to assess, adapt and respond within a constantly changing environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Excellent attendance record in alignment with STEGH’s attendance policy.
- Acceptable performance record in alignment with STEGH’s mission, vision, values and code of conduct.
- One year of Continuing Care experience within the last three years.
- Certificates in:
Palliative Care Fundamentals (Level
1), Gentle Persuasive Approaches, Crisis Intervention.
The successful candidate must be available to work all tours applicable to the department in accordance with the OPSEU Service Collective Agreement. The position must be flexible to occasional changes in hours when required.
