OverviewThis existing vacancy is reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Scheduler considers such factors as machine availability, labour capacity, and material availability the production scheduler aims to optimize efficiency and streamline workflow. The scheduler will develop and monitor production schedules, in accordance with the approved build plan, to ensure delivery of components to the necessary work cell. This role will assist in enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and maintaining a smooth and well-organized production process.
Whatwill you do?
- Ensure accuracy of planning details in the MRP system and maintain data integrity, including material master and routing information.
- Convert planned orders into manufacturing production orders and resolve production order issues (e.g., COGI).
- Conduct capacity planning, review shop load reports, and identify potential bottlenecks or areas of concern.
- Distribute production reports to support component and labour scheduling and monitor production schedules to achieve on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with supervisors to troubleshoot issues such as staff shortages, parts shortages and non-conformances.
- Collect and analyze production data and team KPIs and assist in developing and maintaining procedures to improve daily operations.
- Participate in inventory counts and reconciliation and recommend adjustments to replenishment quantities to optimize efficiency.
- Identify root causes of late orders and implement rescheduling strategies to minimize delays.

- Post-secondary education in Manufacturing (Engineering, mechanical techniques, materials management or business)
- Manufacturing experience in a similar position is an asset
- Strong command of verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptable with a growth mindset and willingness to learn, grow and develop
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or within a team setting.
- Strong tact, influencing, judgment and consultative skills
- Proven capabilities in critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

- The Ontario pay range for this position is $60,000 CAD to $68,000 CAD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's experience, skills, knowledge, and other job-related factors.
