Valleyview Home is looking to hire a Maintenance Summer Student to assist with maintenance throughout the summer months. Applications must be received no later than Friday, February 6, 2026. Posting #.

• The duration of this contract will be approximately four (4) months.
• Shift times will be 8:30 a.m.
  
  - 4:30 p.m.;
  Monday-Friday.

• Required duties may include painting (walls, ceilings, floors), minor drywall patching, minor repairs, light carpentry/plumbing work, moving an assortment of items/shipments to different areas of the Home including residents’ items when moving in, garbage and recycling collection and City Hall runs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Currently enrolled in a University or College program. Must have attended the previous school year full-time and will be returning to the next school term full-time.
• Enrollment in a Technology Program (Construction – Woodworking, Manufacturing, Electrical, Green Industry) would be considered an asset.
• Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s license with a minimum class G2.

• Successful completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (dated within the last six (6) months).
• Satisfactory TB documentation (dated within the last twelve (12) months).

$20.27 per hour (2025 rate). This is a Unifor local 27 union position.
