Overview

Reporting to the IT & Cyber Security Manager, the IT Support Technician provides day-to-day IT support and administration across multiple Tepperman’s locations. You will also assist in the administration of cyber security technologies and act as a technical resource on projects, ensuring systems are secure, functional, and optimized for users. Your key objective is to ensure seamless IT operations and user support while maintaining and administering IT and cybersecurity systems, contributing to projects, and supporting business continuity across all locations.

Reporting to the IT & Cyber Security Manager, the IT Support Technician is responsible for:

  • Provide direct IT support to users via Help Desk tickets, remote assistance, and on-site visits as needed
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for Help Desk issues
  • Maintain hardware inventories and perform setup/support across all locations
  • Deliver “white glove” onboarding for new management employees
  • Administer IT and cybersecurity systems, including Windows Desktop, Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365 (Teams & Intune), MAC OS, iOS, Mimecast, Arctic Wolf, Sentinel One, Zscaler, and Red Canary
  • Act as a technical resource for IT projects and initiatives
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation
  • Serve as backup to the Systems Administrator role
  • Participate in emergency troubleshooting and project launches during evenings or weekends when required
  • Travel occasionally to all locations
Qualifications
  • College or University degree in Information Technology or related field
  • 5 years’ experience in a similar IT support role
  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CISSP) are an asset
  • Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure:
    Microsoft Windows Server & Desktop, VMware, SANs, Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, networking (switches, wireless access points, firewalls), MAC OS, iOS, Phone Systems
  • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools:
    Microsoft Intune, Mimecast, Arctic Wolf, Sentinel One, Zscaler, Red Canary
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong judgment in decision making
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and able to work independently or collaboratively
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
