We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Individual Wealth IT team; the successful candidate will be a highly analytical specialist responsible for both business and technical analysis, focused on bringing efficiency and business value to various business teams utilizing components of Equitable’s capture, imaging, and business process automation solutions.

- Provide systems analysis, problem solving and documentation for medium to large workflow/automation requests and projects in support of critical business objectives.
- Engage and collaborate with business partners, development team members and other IT groups to define solution specifications that align to business needs and enhance the client experience.
- Triage enhancement requests, decipher business value, and determine prioritization.
- Provide leadership to team members and peers by collaborating with others and holding self and team accountable for results.
- Ensure all projects meet established organizational standards and audit controls.
- Continuously enhance knowledge of business domains and their products/services.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements proactively.
- Assist in delivering solid solutions that meet stakeholders’ needs and assist in quality assurance testing, including creation and execution of test strategies, test plans, test cases and defect management.
- 5-8 years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst role.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in insurance or financial services industry.
- CCBA or CBAP or working towards designation.
- Previous Business Analyst and Quality Assurance experience.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Waterfall and/or Agile methodology experience.
- Experience with Case Management and Business Process Automation solutions.
- Strong analytical ability, critical thinking, attention to detail, and good observation/reasoning skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to articulate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Experience writing functional requirements, use cases and process flows.
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and partnership-building skills.
- Experience with analytical/modeling tools for processes and data; understanding of system development methodology.
- Understanding of insurance business concepts, supporting systems, architecture, and functions; knowledge of application infrastructure, databases and technical platforms.
- Experience with or knowledge of: system design and workflow concepts; web and client/server architectures; database design; test management tools; MS Office tools; SQL, C#, .Net; SOAP or REST APIs;
Agile/Scrum/Kanban; CI/Dev Ops; code analysis for understanding system functionality.
