Your work environment at EXP Join the Transportation sector and work on a variety of projects.
What a day at EXP has in store for you Lead and/or assist with analysis and design in road safety reviews and audits, including:
Collision analysis
HSM methodology
Countermeasure identification
Network screening
Road safety data analysis
Human factors consideration
Complete operational reviews
Proficiency in Synchro software; familiarity with VISSIM desirable
Arrange site visits and data collection
Design of traffic operations devices and facilities, including:
Pavement markings and signs
Traffic signals design
Traffic management plans for roadway and infrastructure projects
Accesses and intersections, complete streets, traffic calming
Active transportation facilities, including Pedestrian Crossovers
Introduction of innovative technologies and tools
Policy development for all levels of road authorities
Prepare technical reports, presentations and client communications
Assist with Transportation Group project management and business development
Project proposals
Task delivery, budget management and quality control
Lead small projects/tasks independently
Supervise junior team members
Contribute to overall team culture and environment
What Your Experience Looks Like Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with 10+ years of related experience specializing in Traffic/Transportation
P. Eng. designation with PEO required
Proven ability to learn and adapt software, including transportation modeling, GIS, AutoCAD and related applications
Experience applying and interpreting legislation and technical documentation (ITE Trip Generation Manual, TAC Geometric Design Guide, Ontario Traffic Manual, Ontario Highway Traffic Act)
Experience with specialized traffic assessment/design software (Synchro, VISSIM, AIMSUM, AutoTURN)
Experience determining Transportation Demand Management elements and improving active transportation facilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent written and oral communication; attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team; effective time management with concurrent projects
ITE Canada membership desired
Valid Ontario driver’s license (minimum G2)
