We are seeking a Buyer to manage strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, and cost optimization initiatives for our client's automotive manufacturing facility in London, ON region.
Pay - $85K - $95K
Key Responsibilities:
Lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities for direct and indirect automotive components.
Manage supplier selection, contract negotiation, pricing, and long-term supply agreements.
Support new product launches, engineering changes, and production ramp-ups.
Drive cost reduction initiatives, VA/VE programs, and year-over-year savings targets.
Monitor supplier performance, delivery, quality, and risk management.
Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and logistics teams.
Resolve supplier issues, shortages, and quality concerns.
Maintain accurate procurement data, forecasts, and inventory targets.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5+ years of purchasing or strategic sourcing experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Strong experience with Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers and production parts sourcing.
Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
Experience supporting APQP, PPAP, and new program launches preferred.
