We are currently seeking a Geotechnical Technician to join our Geotechnical Division and work out of our London office.

• Compaction testing of soil and asphalt using a nuclear gauge, concrete testing, aggregate sampling
• Geotechnical inspections including subgrade, footing, and rebar inspections
• Aggregate laboratory testing
• Onsite reporting and coordination
• Other related duties, as assigned

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology
• Working towards
  
  C.Tech. or C.E.T. designation
• Minimum of 3 years experience
• CCIL – Category “0” Concrete Technician is considered an asset
• CCIL – Category “C’ Aggregate technician is considered an asset
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods training is considered an asset
• Team player with ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Strong technical report writing skills and verbal communication skills
• Strong skills in MS Office software, including Word and Excel
• Exceptional problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and safe work practices when working around heavy equipment and/or construction sites
• Standard First Aid & CPR training considered an asset
• Must be able to lift and/or carry equipment >50 lbs.
• Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle, vehicle must carry nuclear densometer insurance
• Successful Criminal Records Check which has been completed within 6 months of start date

Salary Range

$26.67-$33.33 per hour, plus benefits

Hourly Wage will be based on individual education, qualifications, and relevant work experience.
