Role descriptionArcadis is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to join a well-developed team of environmental engineers and scientists to provide technical support. The successful candidate will mentor junior and intermediate staff with a focus on high-quality work, innovation, efficiency, and productive client relationships.
Role accountabilities- Provide technical expertise to support Arcadis pursuits and environmental projects across mining, oil and gas, infrastructure, brownfields, industrial redevelopment, utility, and power sectors.
- Mentor and oversee junior and intermediate staff to ensure effective technical task execution and field programs.
- Lead or contribute to contaminated site investigations, feasibility studies, remediation design and implementation, hydrogeological studies, and monitoring programs.
- Manage large and complex environmental projects with attention to permitting and compliance issues.
- Prepare reports, work plans, specifications, proposals, and technical budgets; ensure deliverables meet quality assurance and quality control standards.
- Collaborate with senior-level staff across Canada and the US to provide integrated services and participate in local, national, and international opportunities.
- Engage in business development, maintain positive client relationships, and contribute to Arcadis knowledge and innovation initiatives.
- Support Arcadis quality, health and safety, and performance management systems.
- Knowledge and experience in groundwater and contaminant hydrogeological assessments, feasibility studies, computer model applications, and remediation design and implementation (e.g., pump and treat, vapour extraction, chemical oxidation).
- Experience with environmental compliance and provincial/federal guidelines and legislation.
- Experience serving clients in industrial, development, and federal sectors.
- Ability to design and implement field programs, analyze data, write reports, provide QA/QC, and present results to clients.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for detailed planning, timely decision-making, and efficient implementation.
- Understanding of Behavior Based Safety Systems, including Job Safety Analyses and Job Observations.
- Valid driver s license; willingness to travel to project sites and meetings as required.
- 10+ years of professional experience preferred.
- Numerical groundwater modelling experience is an asset.
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in hydrogeological sciences or a related engineering discipline.
- Registration as a Professional Geoscientist of Ontario (P.Geo.) or Professional Engineer Ontario (P.Eng.) or eligibility to register in other Canadian provinces/territories.

The salary range for this position is $95,. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
