Your OpportunityReporting to the Director, Marketing and Communications and indirectly to the Program Director, Licentiate in Theology Program (LTh), the Coordinator, Marketing and Communications (Theology) will oversee and implement an annual marketing and communications plan to support recruitment efforts in Faculty of Theology pre-degree and degree programs and to promote events, courses, and student registration in.
Supporting the goals of the Theology degree programs and the Licentiate in Theology program, the Coordinator is responsible for ensuring consistency in messaging, design, branding, and planning related to Huron’s promotion of theological education in Canada, and for administering advertising efforts and communication campaigns within pre-defined scopes and budgets.
Key Responsibilities- Supports the development and execution of multiple marketing and communication initiatives to promote Huron’s Licentiate in Theology diploma program and Theology degree programs, supporting student recruitment and alumni engagement events.
- Creates virtual promotional materials for the advertising of courses, events, conferences, and theological programming.
- Ensuring all elements and branding are within Huron’s branding and style guidelines and have proper and clear messaging.
- Assists the LTh Program Director with the design and maintenance of marketing materials on the LTh webpage hosted on Huron University’s website and on the LTh Learning page.
- Plans, manages develops, implements, and reports on any and all digital advertising collateral, both across digital platforms and traditional means.
- Undergraduate degree or diploma required, with a focus in business, communication, marketing, or digital advertising preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience in marketing, communication, advertising, or related field.
- Experience in a post-secondary educational context is an asset.
- Experience using social media, new media tools and social networking sites with a demonstrated understanding of best practices.
- Experience working with a diverse population, demonstrating sensitivity and cultural awareness.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Salary commensurate with experience: $20 – $24 per hour
This is a part-time (15 – 20 hours per week), temporary position, anticipated to end in December 2028.
