Position:
Child Care Custodian Housekeeper

Location: 109 Belmont Dr, London ON N6J 4Y1

Start Date: As Soon As Possible

Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience in commercial cleaning environment.
  • WHMIS trained (can be provided if not in place).
  • Experience with the safe and proper use and storage of cleaning supplies.
  • Clean criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening.
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • It is a YMCA of Southwestern Ontario requirement that all employees and volunteers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Exemptions will be granted upon receipt of acceptable proof of a permissible Human Rights Code ground. This requirement has been suspended effective June 30, 2022. It may be reinstated in future should the state of public health in our communities require it.
Compensation / Benefits
  • $17.60 per hour.

  • Vacation entitlement in accordance with the employment standards regulations.
Schedule
  • Monday through Friday.
  • Evenings shifts - 6:00pm – 10:00pm.
  • 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities
  • Follow YMCA of Southwestern Ontario policy and procedures.
  • Act as a YMCA ambassador, demonstrating YMCA core values in your daily work.
  • Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility. (Classrooms, kitchen, staff room, office, hallways, bathrooms).
  • Regular removal of garbage and recycling.
  • Work with the team in a positive and enthusiastic manner, to ensure member safety and satisfaction.
  • Commitment to serving all members.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to YMCA Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Ensure centre is locked and alarm activated upon leaving.

All employees and volunteers are required to provide a current satisfactory Criminal Record and may require a Vulnerable Sector Search as a condition of their employment.
