We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage payroll for three Canadian entities and one U.S. entity. This is a fully on‑site position responsible for accurate, timely payroll processing and ensuring compliance with all federal, provincial/state, and local legislation.
Responsibilities:- Process weekly/bi‑weekly payroll (3 Canada, 1 U.S.)
- Administer source deductions, payroll taxes, and statutory remittances
- Prepare and issue T4s and U.S. year‑end tax documentation (W‑2/W‑9 related)
- Manage and reconcile Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) reporting
- Maintain payroll records and general ledger reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency and Internal Revenue Service requirements
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally and confidentially
- Completion of a recognized payroll certification (PCP or equivalent)
- 3–5 years payroll experience, including Canadian and U.S. payroll
- Experience with ADP and Quick Books
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax, remittances, and compliance
- Agriculture experience considered an asset
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to changing priorities
