Job Description

Our client is actively seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Project Accountant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in project accounting. The successful candidate will have experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting for large projects.

Work Arrangement: 100% in-office in Waterloo, Ontario.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor project budgets and prepare reports in a timely manner
• Assess budget vs actuals for all projects to identify project overages and risks
• Prepare progress draws for all projects in a timely manner
• Collaborate with project management teams and other departments
• Evaluate systems, software, and workflow, and implement process improvements

Qualifications and

Experience:

• 3+ years of Project Accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Proficiency with ERP systems and accounting software
• Advanced Excel skills
• High level of organization and detail orientation
• Strong communication skills
